For alcohol cases, the assessment checks whether you understand your drinking and have changed it for good. Proof of abstinence is often part of this. In the first call we clarify what is required in your case.

Step 1: Free first call
30 minutes by phone or video. You tell me what happened, and I explain what to expect at the MPU.

We go through your file together and, if there is one, a previous report.
Step 3: Understanding your story
In one-to-one sessions we work out how the incident came about and what has changed for you since.
Step 4: Practising the interview
We practise the psychological interview of the MPU with the questions that are typically asked.
Step 5: Ready for the appointment
You receive a certificate of attendance, go to the MPU and can explain your progress in your own words.
About me
Loreta Gjestilapsychologist (M.Sc.)
Psychologist specialising in addiction and the MPU
I am a psychologist with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counselling psychology. My professional focus is addiction and its prevention, alcohol and drugs, relapse prevention and behaviour change. These topics play a central role in many MPU cases.
I work in a solution-focused, practical and respectful way. You should understand how your offence came about and be able to explain your change clearly. That doesn’t work with stock phrases, only with your own story.
Albanian is my native language. As a qualified psychologist, I also offer MPU preparation in Albanian. People who speak in their own language can describe their situation more precisely and more honestly.
My work is psychological counselling. It does not replace psychotherapy or medical treatment.

Would you rather speak Albanian? Then we prepare entirely in Albanian. A difficult time in your life is often easier to talk about in your native language. The MPU itself usually takes place in German, so we also practise the key terms in German.

Can you prepare for the MPU online?
Yes. The most important part of the MPU is the interview with the psychological assessor. We prepare for it through conversations, and these work just as well by video or phone as in an office.
What does MPU preparation cost?
The first call is free. Depending on your case, packages cost between €1,199 and €2,290. All details are on the “Prices” page. Payment in instalments is possible. We discuss which package suits you in the first call.
What should I not say at the MPU?
Memorised sentences and stories that don’t match your file. Assessors compare what you say with your documents. An honest account that you understand and can explain yourself works better.
How long does the preparation take?
That depends on the reason. With alcohol and drugs, the required proof of abstinence often sets the timeline. In the first call I tell you what to expect in your case.
Do you guarantee that I will pass the MPU?
No. Only the assessment centre decides the result, and nobody can seriously promise it. Be careful with offers that guarantee a pass.
Is preparation also possible in Albanian?
Yes. I prepare you in German, Albanian or English.
Do I have to come to your office?
No. The whole preparation takes place online by video or by phone.
Do you also help with legal questions?
No, I do not offer legal advice. For legal questions about your licence, please contact a lawyer specialising in traffic law.
Do I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes. At the end of the preparation you receive a certificate of attendance.
Is MPU preparation a form of psychotherapy?

A negative report usually describes exactly what the assessor was missing. That gives us a good starting point. Bring the report to the first call.
